In Brumado, a city located about 620 Km far from Salvador, there are lands with great amount of ore. The ore deposits are ranked among the main deposits in Brazil and in the world and the city has a good infrastructure, comparable to the cities from South and Southeast regions. Most of the approximately 76,000 inhabitants work in the mining or in activities related to this sector.
This city Xilolite settled to seize its mineral resources indicated in the order of 40 million tonnes of ore magnesitito, containing 28 million tons of magnesite and 8 million tonnes of talc.
Underlying the magnesitito ore, dolomite ore is not yet researched systematically, but with great potential.
The stone turns into dust and powder turns in various products in the daily lives of us all.
Talc - Magnesite- Dolomite
XILOLITE started its activities in 1969 as a manufacturer of caustic calcined magnesite and magnesium chloride.
With a great entrepreneurial spirit, in 1973 XILOLITE acquired its first natural deposit and in the next year started the exploration. At that time, the process didn't have a mechanized system yet, however, the determination and persistence with which the process was made has borne many fruits: as of 1979, the facilities were modernized, being today an advanced industrial plant for the production of talc (industrial, pharmaceutical and micronized level), magnesium oxide and dolomite. XILOLITE currently has 5 natural deposits of ores, ensuring raw material for many decades. Own laboratories for Quality Control, Research and Development and International Advisory Services make XILOLITE a reliable and competitive company.
Moreover, the pharmaceutical talc has been exported to the USA since 1986, being in compliance with all American rigorous Standards, which confirms the quality of XILOLITE products.
Stone over stone, XILOLITE is building an increasingly solid future.
The Quality Management System Certification took place in October 2004. In September 2007 and September 2010, Xilolite was again audited by Bureau Veritas Certification and was certified in compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 Standards.
